Social Media Content Creator Project

Update November 2023: The expression of interest for this project is closed. We are currently seeking funding to proceed. 
The St. Elias Chamber of Commerce (SECC) would like to stimulate visitor and resident attraction and retention to Haines Junction marketing on social media platforms.

There are so many incredible events, businesses and places to visit within our community and we’d like to develop a way to share who we are and what we do with the world through images and video.
We are looking for a contractor who would like to help us develop a strong social media presence by developing a content creation account to support naturalized advertising of the Haines Junction landscape, St Elias Chamber of Commerce businesses and events and people of Haines Junction. The objective of this account is to help share our collective story and the diversity of our community and landscape.

Objective and Deliverables​
The St. Elias Chamber of Commerce engage a consultant to:

1. Work with the SECC to develop social media accounts including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok;
2. Create content for these social media accounts that shows the beauty of the landscape, Chamber businesses and the people who live here; 
3. Generate consistent content for the duration of the project and should focus on visitor attraction during the slower parts of the calendar year (October to May); 
4. Work with the Chamber of Commerce board to develop a content calendar;
5. Work to cross-promote content with Yukon-based social media influencer accounts; and,
6. Provide monthly reports to the SECC board summarizing the account performance and engagement.

The SECC will have ongoing access to all of the social media accounts and at the conclusion of the project, all rights and access to all of the content in the accounts will be the property of the SECC.

Submitting an Expression of Interest

This Request for Expressions of Interest will be used to identify and shortlist candidates for the Social Media Content Creator Project and does not constitute an offer, nor is it a formal Request for Proposals.
Please note that the timing of this project will depend on the approval of funding. The duration of this project will be 1 to 2 years.

Your Expression of Interest must include:

1. An understanding of the project intent, including an overview of the proposed approach to be used by the consultant for the suggested social media platforms.
2. A project budget estimate. 
3. A description of the consultant or team, including relevant qualifications and experience. Consultant profiles and references to current social media accounts are recommended.​
